How credits are held

Credits are held while something generates and settled when it finishes. Nothing is ever deducted before you see the price, and a failure releases the hold in full.

The sequence

Every paid action shows its cost, your balance before, and your balance after — before it runs.

1You confirm an action with the price on screen.
2We place a hold for that amount. Your available balance drops; nothing is spent yet.
3On success the hold settles and appears in your ledger as a spend.
4On failure the hold is released in full, automatically, as its own ledger line.
You never open a ticket for a refund on a failed generation. If you had to ask, we built it wrong.

What costs credits, and what never does

Generation costs credits. Reading, editing, copying, exporting and sharing your own work do not — not now, not on any plan.

Order of spend

Your monthly allowance is used first, then pack credits. Pack credits never expire; monthly allowance does not roll over. Downgrading a plan keeps every pack credit you have bought.
